  Planetek Italia

Planetek Italia s.r.l. is one of the main national operators in the field of information sciences applied to land management. The company is specialized in the development and distribution of services, data processing solutions for advanced archiving, elaboration and distribution of cartographic databases and satellite remotely sensed images. In addition Planetek  Italia is engaged in software product development and resale, offering consulting services and training for the realization of systems for the management of technological networks.

Within  the framework of land monitoring in support of Territorial planning and Civil Protection activities, Planetek Italia has developed a great experience in the field of the analysis and landslides monitoring. Indeed Planetek Italia, is part of several international consortiums, and collaborates to landslide monitoring projects with expertises of Earth Observation  techniques and GIS environment integration.

In SLAM project Planetek Italia is the leader of consortium and it is responsible for:

  • the definition of user requirements for the Italian user organization;

  • the specification of the products for the Italian test areas;

  • the qualification of the products for the Italian test areas;

  • the service GIS development;

  • the results dissemination.

  Spacebel

Spacebel is a Belgian company, specialized in the design and implementation of Land-use and Environment Management Information Systems, using GIS and remote sensing technologies. Typical applications are environmental monitoring, water resource management systems and disaster management.
In SLAM project, Spacebel will apply some of the state-of-the-art algorithms in order to extract from optical satellite images land features parameters relating landslides.

  Tele-Rilevamento Europa

Tele-Rilevamento Europa (TRE) is the First commercial spin-off of Politecnico di Milano. TRE was founded to exploit the Permanent Scatterers (PS) Technique commercially, a sophisticated algorithm for interferometric SAR data processing patented by Politecnico di Milano in 1999. The Permanent Scatterers processing chain is still being improved and optimized constantly by TRE staff. Results obtained in different fields of applications are now affirming the PS technique as a powerful operational tool for ground deformation monitoring. In the present project Tele-Rilevamento Europa is responsible for the development and the demonstration of the Landslide Motion Survey and the Landslide Displacement Monitoring for the Italian Service Cases.

  University of Florence

The Earth Sciences Department of the University of Florence has an extensive research experience in Earth Observation techniques, advanced geotechnical and hydro-geological modelling software, GPS and survey instrumentation, and GIS-based analysis of landslide risk. It will support Tele-Rilevamento Europa during the development and demonstration service cases in Italy. In particular it is responsible for the definition of the landslide extent and for the Landslide Susceptibility Mapping. A selected team of academics will be in charge of the product validation.

  Geotest

Geotest is a Swiss company. It has wide experience in consulting services for the following disciplines: engineering geology, geotechnics, civil engineering, geophysics and environment; as well as laboratory testing services for inert materials such as soils, rocks and concrete. In SLAM project this company is responsible for the validation and quality assessment of service cases for landslide hazard surveying in Switzerland.

 Gamma Remote Sensing

Gamma Remote Sensing is a Swiss company. It has an extensive experience in scientific research, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and interferometric signal processing, active and passive microwave remote sensing techniques, and application development. It is responsible for the development and the demonstration of service cases in Switzerland able to guarantee landslide motion survey in alpine regions and landslide displacement mapping in alpine regions and built-up areas. In addition, Gamma Remote Sensing supports to the definition of the user requirements, the assessment of the test cases in Switzerland, and the preparation of dissemination material.
